3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE) Application Programming Interfaces (API's) are pre-compiled and optimized C function libraries for encoding and decoding protocol messages defined within 3GPP standards documents that define ASN.1-based messages (EUTRA-RRC, S1AP, and X2AP) or Layer-3 messages (NAS).
API's are also available for older, 3G standard ASN.1-based API's such as NBAP, RANAP, RNSAP and RRC.
